Address the Transit Crisis

North Central Calgary has the highest transit ridership in the city. The north leg of the Green Line is dead and we need new ideas to meet the demand.

  • Declare a “North Central Transit Emergency”.

  • Advocate for permanent bus service in Carrington and increased service for Livingston.

  • Support construction of 144 Ave BRT to connect the Red and Blue C-Train lines.

Fairness in Development

Ward 3 is doing its part in the housing crisis. Densification needs to be a shared responsibility across Calgary.

  • Build essential service infrastructure before increasing density.

  • Support and fund Calgary’s GamePLAN to increase access to recreation and community spaces.

  • Data-driven transit improvements.

  • Support the Route Ahead transit strategy to facilitate transit-oriented development.

Core Services for
the North

Ward 3 is often forgotten when it comes to many of the public amenities that Calgarians enjoy in other parts of the city.

  • Support the creation of a regional park in Nose Creek Valley.

  • Build a permanent dog park for Northern Hills communities.

  • Steward construction of the North Calgary Feeder Main.

  • Create community meeting spaces in Northern Hills.

  • Address missing pathways and community connections.

Amplify Our
Community's Voice

Navigating City of Calgary bureaucracy continues to be a burden for community groups and activists.

  • Host frequent town halls and community engagement opportunities.

  • Activate community associations and encourage formation of Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Ward 3.

  • Expand formal referees to include environmental societies.

  • Make City processes easier to navigate.

    • Create a subscription to follow developments.

    • More transparent workflow and engagement processes.

  • Make City Council meetings more accessible.

    • Expand viewing options for city council meetings.

    • Enable video submissions to council.

    • Provide resources at libraries on how to make submissions to council.
