2025 Mayor’s Annual Food Drive

The Mayor’s Annual Food Drive is underway, and Ward 3 is joining communities across the city to support the Calgary Food Bank as we head into the holiday giving season.

Food insecurity continues to be a concern for many Calgarians, affecting families, seniors, newcomers, and working individuals alike. The Calgary Food Bank remains the city’s central emergency food support hub, offering nutritious hampers that provide households with groceries when they need it most. Community support is essential to ensuring the Food Bank can continue meeting this growing demand.

Thanks to strong partnerships and bulk buying power, every $1.00 donated allows the Calgary Food Bank to distribute $3.50 worth of food. This means even small contributions have an outsized impact, helping stretch resources further and ensuring more Calgarians have access to healthy, reliable food.

How Ward 3 Residents Can Help

  • Donate Funds Online: Financial donations are the most effective and easiest way to support the Food Bank’s work. You can contribute directly to the Ward 3 fundraising page HERE.

  • Donate non-perishable items: Shelf-stable foods are welcome and remain a vital part of the Food Bank’s operations. From now until December 24, you can drop off food donations at Vivo for Healthier Generations - 11950 Country Village Link NE

  • Share this campaign with your neighbours: Help us spread the word throughout Ward 3!

The Food Bank plays a crucial role not only in addressing immediate hunger but also in supporting community stability and dignity. When Calgarians pull together, neighbour by neighbour, ward by ward, the entire city becomes stronger and more resilient.

Ward 3 is proud to contribute to this citywide effort and encourages all residents to take part in whatever way they can.
