On July 1, Calgarians and visitors are invited to gather at locations across the city to celebrate Canada Day. This year’s free and family-friendly celebration features an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, live music events, and will end with a fireworks show above Stampede Park. Other attractions throughout the day include the Cultural Carousel, performances, face painting, food trucks, and more.

Canada Day Main Stage Show

Join at the new main stage at Prince’s Island Park for an all-Canadian music lineup featuring Micah Sage, Jamie Fine, Kardinal Offishall, Tia Wood, and headliner Walk off the Earth. Shows begin at 2 pm. View the full Main Stage schedule HERE.

Fireworks

Canada Day will end with a fireworks show at approximately 11 pm launched from Stampede Park. The best viewing location for the fireworks is Max Bell Centre. The parking lot will be open for fireworks viewing only, with no other activities on site. Parking is limited, so consider walking or taking transit. Franklin and Barlow/Max Bell LRT stations are nearby. Onsite viewing at Stampede Park will not be available due to set up of the 2026 Stampede and vehicle access into west Ramsay (Scotsman’s Hill) will be very restricted.
