Alberta Bowl 2025: A Friendly Ward Showdown

This Saturday, November 29, the Alberta Bowl Provincial Championship for senior boys’ high school football is taking place in Edmonton. Ward 3’s very own Notre Dame Pride will be taking on the Ernest Manning Griffins from Ward 6 in what promises to be an incredible championship match.

The game kicks off at 6:00 pm at Jasper Place in Edmonton. Whether you’re making the trip north or cheering from home, it’s a great moment to celebrate the hard work and talent of these incredible student-athletes.

To add a little fun to the rivalry, Ward 3 Councillor Andrew Yule and Ward 6 Councillor John Pantazopoulos have made a friendly wager: the councillor representing the team that loses will wear the winning team’s jersey at the next Council meeting and make a personal $100 donation to the school’s fundraising efforts.
