Harvest Meadows: Land use Redesignation (LOC2019-0017)

ree

A new land use redesignation application is under review for Harvest Meadows (LOC2019-0017) - a 13.5 acre site at 10220 6th Street NE, located in Harvest Hills and the Naato'syinnipi (Aurora) Business Park area.

The project aims to bring a mix of housing, public spaces, and improved infrastructure to this part of northeast Calgary.

The current proposal includes a request to change the current land use from Special Purpose - Future Urban Development (S-FUD) to allow for the following:

  • Approximately 43 low-density residential units, such as single detached homes, cottage housing clusters, and rowhouses.

  • Around 64 medium-density units, primarily townhouses and rowhouses.

  • A 4 to 6 story multi residential condo or apartment building.

  • A public park and enhanced multi-use pathway connections.

  • Major upgrades to the current stormwater pond.

The application is currently open for review, and residents are encouraged to provide comments on the proposal. Feedback can help address any aspect of the development, including potential uses for public spaces or other features that could support the greater community if the project moves forward.

The formal commenting period closes on November 10, 2025, but comments can still be submitted directly to the City of Calgary file manager and Arcadis while the application is under review.
