Have Your Say on Calgary's Next Four-Year Budget

The City of Calgary is asking residents to weigh in on how public dollars should be spent over the next four years. Public engagement for the 2027–2030 Business Plans and Budgets is now open and runs until April 15, 2026.
The four-year budget shapes how the City allocates funding to the services and infrastructure Calgarians rely on every day - transit, roads, fire, police, parks, and more. The decisions made through this process will influence how Calgary grows and delivers services through to 2030, making this an important opportunity for residents to share their priorities directly with Administration and Council.
Participation is straightforward. Calgarians can share their feedback in two ways:
by completing a short online survey through the City's Engage Portal, or
by attending one of 14 pop-up events being held across the city. Residents can learn more about the budget process, ask questions, and complete the survey on-site.
All feedback collected will be used alongside existing research to inform the development and approval of the budget in November 2026. A What We Heard report summarizing engagement findings will be presented to Council mid-year.
