Another full but generative week at City Hall. Lots of meetings, lots of time in community, and lots of preparing for some big things coming up over the next few weeks. Here’s a look at what’s been going on.

  • I had the opportunity to connect with Ward 3 school board trustees Laura Hack (CBE) and Terry Thuo (CCSD). We spoke about upcoming school build projects in our communities and how the City can help support both boards as this work moves ahead.

  • Twice a year, the City surveys residents to learn what’s working and what needs more attention when it comes to service delivery, operations, and support. We received a Ward 3 breakdown of the results from this past fall, giving us a helpful baseline of how residents are feeling and where they see room for improvement. We will share more from this report in the coming weeks.

  • I attended the Teacher Appreciation Lunch at North Trail High School and had the chance to connect with and celebrate the incredible staff and parent volunteers working together to support our kids. Thank you, teachers!

  • We met with Silvera for Seniors to learn about their work providing affordable and supportive housing options for seniors in Calgary. They currently operate a seniors housing complex in Livingston, with plans to expand the project over the next few years.

  • Looking ahead, the public hearing on citywide rezoning is scheduled to begin the week of March 23, 2026. My team and I are planning a Ward 3 Town Hall to hear directly from residents and will share more details soon, including what’s being considered and ways to get involved.

More to come.
