2026 Jane's Walk: The Nose Creek Pathway

  • 2 min read

Join Councillor Yule and Fresh Water Canada Implementation Biologist, Elliott, on a guided journey through watershed, wildlife, and community history. Sunday, May 3 at 10 am.

This year's Jane's Walk takes participants along one of Calgary's most cherished green corridors - the Nose Creek Pathway. Starting from the West Nose Creek Park parking lot, the 3 km route winds through a landscape rich with geological character, freshwater life, and layers of cultural history that most neighbours walk past without ever fully knowing.

Whether you're a seasoned local or new to the community, this Jane's Walk is a chance to discover the natural and historical treasures in your own backyard.

Along the way, the group will pause to explore flood mitigation efforts shaping the creek corridor, the watershed system that sustains it, and the biodiversity tucked into every bend of the path. The walk is as much a conversation as it is a stroll, thoughtful stops, curious questions, and neighbours discovering things together.

Space is limited. Learn more and register to reserve you spot today.

DATE: Sunday, May 3 from 10 am to 11:30 am MEETING SPOT: West Nose Creek Park Parking Lot, 3409 Nose Creek WALK NOTES: Some steep slopes and uneven terrain. Breaks offered along the way
