Berkshire Boulevard NW: Annual Paving Program Construction Notice

Beginning July 7, 2026, The City of Calgary's contractor, Aecon, will begin milling and paving work for road repairs on Berkshire Boulevard NW. This work is part of The City’s Annual Paving Program.
Construction Activities
Milling and paving activities will be completed overnight (9 pm to 5 am). During this time, there will be nightly lane closures along Berkshire Boulevard. The road will reopen for daytime traffic at reduced speeds.
July 7: Start milling (removing) existing pavement
July 12: Begin repaving
Late-July: anticipated completion of the the project. Please note road construction is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
Construction Impacts
Noise: Residents and businesses near the construction site can expect increased noise overnight, along with the presence of crews, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
Lane closures: Nightly lane closures are expected to complete milling and paving.
Uneven driving surfaces: During construction, the roadway surface will be uneven with protruding manholes and bumps. Please drive with caution.
Transit: Bus routes along Berkshire Boulevard NW. may be temprorarily impacted. For more information, please visit calgarytransit.com.
