New Crosswalk RRFB: Sandarac Drive and Sandstone Drive NW

1 min read

Neighbours in Sandstone Valley may have noticed some changes to the pedestrian crossing at Sandarac Drive and Sandstone Drive NW.

A new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) has been installed to improve visibility and help drivers more easily see people crossing at this busy intersection. The curb extensions that were temporarily removed will also be reinstated soon, adding another safety enhancement to the crossing.

If you have a location in your community that you feel could benefit from crosswalk upgrades, please submit the Crosswalk Request Form on the City website, and email our office to share your feedback: ward3@calgary.ca

There will be more RRFBs to come for Ward 3. In the meantime, please slow down, stay alert, and look out for one another.
